When I tell people this and when they see my protein shakers at home they 1. assume they belong to someone else? 2. tell me not to get "too bulky" or "too big" or 3. ask why I want to change my body when I'm not fat. These are literally the most annoying comments that can be said to a girl that gyms (and they always come from people that don't gym). </span></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />

<span style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">The worst comment I've had is that "weights are for men". To know anything about fitness and the body is to know that women don't and can't look like men when they lift. Why? Because we don't produce nearly enough testosterone to look like a 'bulky male', it's because of the sciencey stuff basically. I assume the average person thinks this because the only thing they associate women and weights with is women that bodybuild. Yep their bodies look incredibly muscular and defined (especially if you're associating the fake tanned up to the eyeballs bikini comp pictures, where the whole point is to look as muscular and ripped as possible). But I can tell you now, bodies like that don't come from just 3/4 weight workouts a week. Hours upon hours of training, science, time, clean eating, more training and god knows what else go into achieving that kind of body and I applaud them for it. And to be fair, day to day the average person wouldn't even know whether a girl has just deadlifted 100kg and is rocking a steel set of abs, because funnily enough they don't walk to Tesco bikini clad.</span> </span><br />

If a girl wants to get as big and as huge as possible (which is HARD) let her. Don't tell her not to get "too bulky", she's not doing it for you or your approval, she's doing it for her. No one reminds you to not get "too big" when you've ordered your second dominoes of the week do they?</span><br />

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;">But the same goes for those who just want to shift a few pounds<em> </em>and nothing more. Even these people will find that there is so much stigma attached to 'dieting' and working out. People don't want to know what you've eaten or not eaten or what you've done at the gym in the past few days, and pull their faces when you say no to the biscuits that are being offered out. God forbid if you upload a gym selfie or instagram your meal prep. But it's ok for us to bombard facebook with our calorific desserts and alcohol fuelled weekends. Changing the way you eat and how you take care of your body is often a lifestyle change when it is taken seriously; it <em>becomes </em>a part of peoples lives. So why is a picture of chicken and broccoli so hard to stomach? Probably because people don't like what they don't understand and I know this because I too have been a diet and gym-goer hater before embracing it for myself. </span><span style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"> </span></div>

<span style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"><br /></span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I'm not pretending I'm an expert in anatomy and I've got perfect form with every rep, because I don't. I'm still learning and so is everyone else, be it that you've worked out for years or started just last week. What I <em>do</em> know though is that working weights <em>will</em> leave you with the defined, shapely body you want, not 'bulk'. Prime example...shape to your butt? You need weights...ain't gunna happen in the cardio section. There are so many benefits to pumping the iron (I know, sorry) that once you realise them you'll never want to go back to that cross trainer ever again (maybe reluctantly on cardio days). With weights your metabolic rate increases, like, dramatically. Your body has to work harder to rebuild those muscles that have been broken down, burning energy and recruiting calories to do this even hours after you've left the gym. Ultimately strength training is an effective way of achieving fat loss and gaining muscle strength. And as long as you aren't pumping your body with testosterone and aren't consuming more calories than you burn, you won't get 'big', you'll get fit. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;"></span><br />

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_d3i0YqnKXM/VRWFvs2gqYI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/wuWXdd7YLOc/s1600/11088035_10155420554365192_956782_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_d3i0YqnKXM/VRWFvs2gqYI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/wuWXdd7YLOc/s1600/11088035_10155420554365192_956782_n.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">And as for me personally and why I want to do it, is purely enjoying it not enough? I LIKE going to the gym and I LIKE working out. I know I'm not fat but I don't need those who aren't happy with their bodies to tell me I should be happy with mine just because I weigh a few pounds less? I'm certainly not doing it because I think I'm fat, I have goals that I want to achieve in terms of what I look like, just as much as someone who is overweight might have. I want to be healthier, stronger, fitter, the best version of me and let's face it there is nothing quite like the buzz of finishing a top workout. It's addictive and when you start seeing results it becomes even more so. This post is merely just to try and dispel the female fitness myth, to remind the ill-informed to think before they speak and to say to females that are reading this, get lifting! You don't know what you're missing!</span> </div>

<div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">Last year I experienced my first ever break up. From my first ever boyfriend. And I'm surprisingly ok about it. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">

<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">We'd been together since I was 15 and he 17, 5 and a half years all in all. What I'm wondering is whether a childhood relationship can ever really last these days? Of course, I've seen my mum and dad do it, my aunties and uncles, my gran and grandad but 2015 is a different time. There are more factors than ever that have the ability to change or end a relationship, and you have to be the sort that 100% want one another to get past those obstacles. Plus, there are 7 billion people in the world, you might find the love of your life on the next street, but who's to say that's the only person destined for you? </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">With the fact that we have a thousand opportunities at our fingertips, it's not like back in the day when our parents would settle down with their sweetheart at 21 and acquire a home, a dog and 2.4 kids. You don't have to think about marriage and babies until at least 30, you have ten whole years to see the world, make something of yourself, get a career going and maybe dedicate some time to the opposite sex if you fancy it, there really is no pressure. I'm not saying avoid love, if you're lucky enough to come across it then do your best to choose a love that grows you. I know I certainly feared I would never get chance to do the things I truly wanted to because of being in a long term relationship. How could I travel the world for a year and still have him there waiting? Truth is, I would never have done it because I knew he wouldn't wait and that risk petrified me. The one you're meant to be with with let you out into the world, be it travel, career or education wise and neither of you will fear that the other won't return. </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">In terms of the smaller, less-life changing factors that are imposed on our everyday lives and relationships, smart phones are an evergrowing problem. We can see what our significant other is doing and thinking every minute of the day. We can look at pictures from nights out, scrutinise every awkward photograph...what's that girls hand doing? Who's that they're talking to? There's also this weird necessity for them to text you, be it a boyfriend or a potential one, you NEED to know they're thinking about you. And God forbid if they only put two kisses instead of the four that you've become accustomed to, that totally means they're not into you anymore and you're probably just going to play it cool from now on. Phones and social media mess with your head, not to mention the inevitable heavy sigh of jealously that prevails as you scroll through the travelling uploads from an old acquaintance. It's hard not to compare what you've got and what might be waiting for you on the other side of the world. Especially as you catch your boyfriend mid ball-scratch, who's still wearing those pizza stained joggers from three days ago. </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">Due to the eruption of technology, cheating has now taken on a different from, it isn't just as simple as not coming home after a night out anymore. We can talk to anyone we want, at any time and it's even easier to do it inappropriately. Apps like snapchat wipe away any evidence of straying before your partner even has the opportunity to pry on your phone. Texts, whatsapp, messenger...there are a multitude of methods that enable us to get cheap thrills out of talking to that probably average looking girl you kissed back in high school. 90% of the time it's usually meaningless but it's all too easy and doesn't make it any less hurtful. And prying in itself is a problem. Logging into their accounts, checking their messages is dangerous but also a godsend. You see things you don't want to see, get the wrong end of the stick but it can reveal truths that are worth knowing.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">All in all despite all these factors that have the ability to shatter everything you've worked for, I do think that a good relationship can last until you're both old and grey. I do think you can ride out the hardest parts of growing up, changing and experiencing together but you've got to both want it. A break up tears up your heart and you do think you'll never be able to find anyone that thinks that video on Facebook is as funny as you do and it's going to take you a really long time to be able to fart in front of a boy again, but the bigger picture is that there is a whole world beyond what they can offer. Better sex, better laughs and hey, you'll probably get taken somewhere better than Nandos and get to see the world in the meantime. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: #666666; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span>

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">After following their account on Instagram for some time and hearing such great reviews from friends that had been for makeovers, I just <i style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">had</i> to visit the 'Peaches and Cream' hair and makeup salon in Liverpool. The place has been growing in popularity for the past year or two and has had many a celebrity face in the makeup chair. It prides itself on offering the everyday girl a celebrity service, and even though I'm not nearly half as glamorous as the average Liverpool girl, glitter and gloss attract me like a moth to a flame.</span></div>

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">The event that spurred on my visit was my sisters upcoming prom. She had placed her trust in me to do her hair and makeup for the whole thing so as preparation is key, we chose to take a lesson from the girls at P&C. </span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 15px; line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">

<span style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">With their makeup looks being in such high demand, they offer clients the chance to learn the trade tricks for themselves. They offer a range of different tutorials, from group masterclasses where one of the girls demos a look on a model, or you can book in for a one to one class. We chose the latter as I was keen to have the attention of the makeup artist all to myself! </span></span><br />
<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;" /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">You can choose between a number of different looks to recreate, with the focus being very much on the eyes. You can choose between the 'full smoke', 'half smoke' or 'glitter smoke' look, and in this case we went for the more subtle 'half smoke'. This look uses one colour on the lid and is blended out with alternative complimentary shades. In comparison to this is the full smoke which is much more dramatic and uses colours to smoke out the majority of the eye. </span></div>

<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">When we arrived at Peaches we were taken aback by just how vibrant the place is. <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">The salon itself is just so much fun to be in, the decor is bright and outrageous and reflects the personalities of these lively Liverpool girls perfectly. The Instagram pictures really don't do it justice! We were greeted by Kre who was to be my tutor for the morning and we got stuck in straight away. </span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); line-height: 21.2999992370605px;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;" /></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); line-height: 21.2999992370605px;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">My sister Kim was to be my model but taking a model isn't actually necessary, you can also learn on yourself. The girls work by demonstrating the techniques on one half of the face and you reciprocate (or at least try to!) on the other. My own makeup habits mean that I always apply eyeshadow <i style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">after</i> I've done my foundation, but Peaches get the eyes perfected first. That meant that as much fall down was allowed as I pleased and enabled me to pack as much colour on as necessary! I was actually a little worried at what the outcome would look like as this was a completely new technique to me, but when we had finished and I wiped away the excess I couldn't believe I'd managed to use more than one colour without it turning into a black smudge! </span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); line-height: 21.2999992370605px;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;" /></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">Kim's face was finished off with foundation, bronze, contour, blush, lips, lashes and Peaches own signature Pearl highlight. It's a beautiful pink, pearly iridescent pigment that looks no less than stunning and really compliments a rosy toned cheek (review on that to come!). My sister really did look beautiful, I was just worried about recreating it at home! Thankfully you get to take away a step-by-step guide from 'The University of Peaches and Cream' which has pictures detailing the entire process. </span></div>

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">I really enjoyed the session I had here and I did manage to recreate it for my sisters prom, which goes to show their one-to-ones really are worthwhile. The girls here are just <i style="line-height: 21.2999992370605px;">so </i>talented, the work they put online never fails to amaze me. They are currently promoting their annual 'Peaches and Scream' makeovers in time for Halloween and the SFX looks they've done over the past few weeks are just incredible, just head over to their Instagram @peachesmakeup to see what I mean. </span></div>

So for the first time in a long time I'm blogging again! I have been distracted for the last couple of months and not felt like dedicating much time to champagnetote. However, I've got some posts lined up for the next few weeks so I shall hopefully get back into the swing of things!</div>

So this is my heavenly Ted Baker Cierra bag that I purchased not so long ago. I'll admit, it was bought on a bit of a whim...I'd seen it a few months back and fell in love with it but couldn't succumb to the hefty price tag. However, whilst roaming around the Trafford Centre store in Manchester, their 20% off student offer just sucked me in and I don't regret a thing.</div>

It's made of bovine leather, which is soft and has a very similar texture to suede. For this reason, keeping it spotless is difficult...it attracts dirt and dust for fun. I haven't put a protector/cleaning product on it as I'm terrified of ruining it but for now I'm just trying to keep it clean through not getting it dirty!</div>
<div class="ExternalClass MsgBodyContainer" data-link="class{:~tag.cssClasses(PlainText, IsContentFiltered)}" style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961);">

I guess that's the downside of the Cierra, you live in fear of spilling a drink on it, or god forbid, food or makeup. For that reason it shall only be making appearances on civilised outings, not "drunk out my face" ones.</div>

The deep black of the leather really compliments the rose gold hardware (ahhh). I'm obsessed with the stuff right now, from bracelets to makeup brushes, I'm. Into. Rose. Gold. A tassel trim adorns the front of the bag and is finished off with a Ted Baker embossed clasp and shoulder chain strap. The chain is actually removable and turns the bag into a very chic clutch, handy eh? You can simply place the chain inside the bag and flip down the little hooks, or remove the chain completely.</div>

The interior is fashioned with a grey/blue flower print lining and has a little pocket for necessities. As for what you can actually fit <i>inside </i>the Cierra, it's certainly not the kitchen sink. Phone, keys, coin purse, powder, brush and lippy is the max but it <i>is</i> a small bag after all (a good excuse for forgetting the purse and letting your fella pay).</div>

<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Noseying at people's MAC lipstick collections is one of my favourite things to do, whether it be blog wise or rummaging through my friends makeup bag, I'm obsessed. With that I thought I'd let you all know where my own collection stands. Please note, I haven't bought all these overnight, I've bought them in dribs and drabs, here and there (although I would buy ten more overnight if I had the money!) It's a work in progress, <em>yes I intend to buy more; t</em>o me they are more than just lipsticks, they're collectables too. I've tried to swatch them as best I can as I find these so helpful when I'm deciding which colours to buy. So here goes...</span><br />

Skincare Set Review <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qgFji-Yqb1Y/U0v6e6x-s3I/AAAAAAAAAhU/o6LS7GlHL0k/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qgFji-Yqb1Y/U0v6e6x-s3I/AAAAAAAAAhU/o6LS7GlHL0k/s1600/photo.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I can't say I'm the biggest Benefit fan there is, I don't know why but I never feel their products are up to much cop and I have been left feeling uninspired by what I've used of theirs in the past. However I came across their skincare range a few months back and thought I'd try it out for size (literally). I was taken in by the cutesy miniature range they offer and for £12.50, even if it was naff, it's worth the price for trialling and testing a large selection of the skincare they offer. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">All these products are from the B.Right range which all look lovely in their blue and beige packaging. Even these small products are given glass bottles adorned with peach toned lids. Benefit have delivered on the aesthetic front, but its what's on the inside that counts...</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">It's Potent! Eye Cream:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So you get 0.3g of product with this which is pretty much sample size, but enough to do you for a few weeks. It clearly states that it is 'a brightening eye cream to fade dark circles', which is quite a statement in anyone's book. However I don't feel it does this, my dark circles are still there and my surrounding skin isn't what I would consider 'bright'. It does hydrate though and feels great on the skin, the formula looks quite thick but upon application it has a very light consistency and glides on to the skin easily. It takes a couple of minutes to completely sink in and can feel a little wet whilst doing so, but the cooling feeling it gives whilst working into the skin actually helps my eyes to feel a little more awake. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Overall, Benefit are a company primarily aimed at 16-30's, so I'm guessing if this product doesn't do much for my 20 year old eyes, then I doubt it'll do much at all for a more mature eye. I see this product as more of a eye moisturiser than anything else, as all it seems to do is keep my eyes hydrated. However it does contain a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity & firmness, so I might just reap the benefits when I'm 50 ey. There is no way I would purchase the full size version of this, perhaps I would if the prices weren't so ridiculous (£25.50!) but it just isn't good enough to justify that sort of money. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Total Moisture Facial Cream:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">If you like your thick and heavy moisturisers, this is for you. It has a smooth paste like consistency, which feels a little greasy between your fingers and <em>slightly </em>on the face but not nearly as bad as I expected. Total Moisture takes a little longer than I would like to properly sink into the face. So this combined with the fact it's on the heavier side of moisturisers, I prefer to use it at night. I recommend using this only on the areas that actually <em>need </em>moisturising as it is so intense; it fixes up dry patches straight away - its just not great on those oily areas.</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Foamingly Clean Facial Wash:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">You don't really get enough of this product to properly trial it, you get roughly two washes, three at a push for your 8.9g. It's a facial cleanser and claims to 'effectively cleanse the skin and remove makeup and impurities with a soft, gentle lather'. The soft, gentle lather I'll take but removing makeup isn't the case. I was really enthusiastic about using this, as I <em>hate </em>makeup removal so anything that makes the process quicker is always a win for me. However I still had foundation remnants on my face once I'd worked it into the skin and washed it off. Disappointing. The actual formula of the product is lovely, it does work into a foamy soothing lather that makes the skin feel soft and supple but it just doesn't <em>clean</em>. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Refined Finish Facial Polish:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">This is pretty much an exfoliating version of the above but doesn't foam up in the same way. I've used it after the facial wash (which means all you're makeup <em>will </em>come off) but all I've really found is that it leaves my skin feeling very dry and blotchy. The microbeads might be a little too harsh for some people, as it appears they are for me so I'd be weary! </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Triple Preforming Facial Emulsion SPF 15:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">If I were to purchase anything from this range, It'd be this. It has been my favourite out of the bunch and I have been impressed. First of all I love the fact it has SPF in it, as it means I can wear it underneath SPF free foundations or alone without worrying about protection. I've tended to wear this during the daytime for this reason. The actual product is <em>very </em>light and watery in consistency which I love, it cools the face as it goes on and sets in very quickly. A bonus is that it isn't oily or greasy whilst keeping my skin hydrated and hasn't even broken me out! Yey!</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<strong><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Moisture Prep Toning Lotion:</span></strong><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I'm not mad on toners and I haven't really given this the full run down. However I have been using it instead of the Facial Emulsion now that it has run out, as I feel this is hydrating enough to be used without a moisturiser. I don't like caking my face in different lotions and potions as I think it can just make everything so much worse, so I've been using this before bed and it has left my face soft and hasn't actually broken me out (yet!). It's not a bad product but for me it is something I don't feel I need or want. </span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So there we have it, not a glittering review by any means but an honest one at that. Some things work for some people and some don't, you may find these are your holy grails! But for me they are overpriced and don't offer much up product wise. </span><br />

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tpct6NSxpac/UzHGOD8STLI/AAAAAAAAAgg/-xnGrCOvkI4/s1600/IMG_8467.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tpct6NSxpac/UzHGOD8STLI/AAAAAAAAAgg/-xnGrCOvkI4/s1600/IMG_8467.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">Pretty much every girl and her handbag have a Michael Kors
or Marc Jacobs watch these days, it’s actually harder to find someone <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">without </i>one. But I understand why, some
of them are bloody gorgeous. I can’t say I’m a <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">massive </i>fan of the metal link ones by MK, some of them look a
little to brash for me, so I was overjoyed when I came across exactly what I
want in the form of this beauty. Michael Kors don’t actually seem to do many
leather ones, I think I’ve seen about three but this is the one I fell in love
with and just <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">had </i>to have. I’ve never
owned a watch before, shocking I know, so I wasn’t sure whether I’d get my wear
out of it but it’s safe to say I’ve never had it off. I bought it just after Christmas
as a little treat to myself so three months on I’d thought I’d share my
thoughts.</span></span></div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
First off the double strap is something I haven’t actually
seen before so it immediately caught my eye. It has a kind of fish scale
pattern that I thought might look a little tacky before I got it but it’s
subtle enough and compliments the rest of the watch rather well. My favourite
part of it however is the actual face; I love the fact that it’s rose gold which
we’re all crazy for at the moment. I also love how large it is, to be honest I
thought the fact it didn’t have actual numbers was going to drive me up the wall
and make it difficult to tell the time but that hasn’t been the case at all (I’m
no Joey Essex). Although the design is very simplistic, there has been a lot of
attention to detail. A tiny MK embossing adorns the crown (watch jargon for
that little thing that sets the time) and the words Michael Kors sit on the
front of the face, back of the face, on the inside of the strap and on the
strap fastener. No forgetting who this bad boy belongs too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--t0rR6vv0Ok/UzHJHGDWuEI/AAAAAAAAAgw/aEDwtcKBeqo/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--t0rR6vv0Ok/UzHJHGDWuEI/AAAAAAAAAgw/aEDwtcKBeqo/s1600/photo.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">Unfortunately I’ve had some trouble with it; only two months
in the part of the strap that attaches to the face had completely teared and
was literally hanging off by a thread. It wasn’t wearable at all, I was gutted
so immediately took it back to Earnest Jones who sorted me out a replacement no
problem. I think the reason it had given way was because it doesn’t sit on your
wrist in the same way a watch would with just one strap would. It kind of sits
at an angel and I think the tension on one side had just caused it to rip. I’ve
decided that if it does it again I’ll be returning it and getting my money back
as obviously there is a design fault if keeps continuing.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d20fAlve-JQ/UzHGNjTsX3I/AAAAAAAAAgk/7uHqf1FYPdo/s1600/IMG_8446.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d20fAlve-JQ/UzHGNjTsX3I/AAAAAAAAAgk/7uHqf1FYPdo/s1600/IMG_8446.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d20fAlve-JQ/UzHGNjTsX3I/AAAAAAAAAgk/7uHqf1FYPdo/s1600/IMG_8446.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">Hopefully this won’t be the case though as I do absolutely
love it, it’s comfortable and doesn’t get in the way of anything despite it
having a big face. Saying that, unfortunately a day after I received my
replacement watch I went out, got drunk and woke up the next morning to find I made
some great dirty big scratches on the glass. Very annoying, you can’t take me
anywhere.</span></span><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XzijWXyp8xU/UyrUhTVl-DI/AAAAAAAAAgI/ff6i0NUk2Xw/s1600/1969185_10153986090925192_1230639263_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XzijWXyp8xU/UyrUhTVl-DI/AAAAAAAAAgI/ff6i0NUk2Xw/s1600/1969185_10153986090925192_1230639263_n.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So unless you've been living under a virtual social media
rock over the past few days, you won't have noticed the influx of #nomakeup
selfies that have taken over our timelines. Women everywhere have wiped away
their eyebrows and laid bare their panda eyes and blotchy chins for all to see.
</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">At first I'll admit I was sceptical, Tuesday night saw the
odd one cropping up amidst pictures of tonight's tea and next doors dog. I took
it as another Facebook fad that I didn't quite understand. However the
following morning saw my Facebook feed peppered with 'nominations' and
fresh-faced women ready to bare all in the name of cancer. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Of course there were still those questioning what this
selfie overload was really about and what good it was really doing. Many a
status bore something along the lines of "do something practical and get
sponsored to help charity" and "these selfies don't achieve
anything". True, they don't change the millions affected by cancer and
they don't offer up a cure, but what they have done is put cancer, and not just
breast cancer, at the forefront of everyones minds. Have you ever really seen
this many people drum up support for one <em>good </em>cause in a matter of 48 hours? I
haven't. It makes sense, the social media generation are selfie <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">obsessed</i>, barely a day goes by without
coming across 1 or 10, so incorporating this into the way we generate charity
awareness seems pretty genius to me. It was fun, took less than 5 minutes to do
and absolutely everybody could get involved and feel they were doing something.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">And they did do something, not only have these selfies got
people talking about cancer, with people far and wide sharing their own cancer
journeys, but they got the donation ball rolling. Despite the opinions of the cynics,
nearly every other selfie I saw incorporated a screenshot of their BEAT texts
to 70007. There’s no doubt that it’s pretty amazing but I personally don't think
a bare faced selfie demands an immediate donation for it to be justified. But
what I do feel is that it should inspire us to tip 50p into that charity bucket
next time we walk past or encourage us to go out and buy a Marie Curie daffodil
over the next few weeks. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If this is what
happens then the job of the selfie has been done. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Aside from the amazing support drummed up for cancer, I also
watched in awe as I saw the whole female community get together and actually <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">support </i>one another. All too often we
are told to see each another as mere rivals; women forget to back one another
up. However the influx of bare faced selfies yesterday saw women actively
encouraging those around them to get involved. There were women reminding other
women that they were beautiful and for the first time I didn’t feel like I was
going to be judged for uploading a selfie (which I sometimes feel happens even
when I am wearing makeup). It was refreshing and there was a complete sense of ‘togetherness’
in the way people were embracing this challenge. Not only this, but as we are well
aware, women everywhere are constantly fed those images of ‘perfection’, but
yesterday made me realise that I am in fact normal. It was a relief to know
that we <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">all </i>have those dark circles,
spotty T-zones and not-so perfect pearly whites and for once women everywhere
were welcoming them. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Social media is a wonderful thing and yesterday it really
proved its worth. Reports have said that £15,000 was donated off
the back of our beloved selfies and I for one am proud to have taken part. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">I have done a review on Estee Lauders Double Wear foundation
in the past on an old blog of mine, but back then I wasn’t as in love with it
as I am now. With that and the fact I have worn this for around a year I can
safely say what it is that I love and hate about this product.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">First off, the one thing I love about Double Wear is the coverage.
It is medium to high which allows for building so if medium just isn’t doing it
one day then you can work it up. I rarely have to use much concealer when I’m
wearing this as it covers 90% of blemishes on its own, hooray! But one thing
that surprised me was that aside from its ability to conceal and the fact it is
on the heavy side of the coverage scale, it still sits naturally on the face.
It doesn’t feel heavy and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable which I have found
even some lightweight foundations can do!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">I personally think this is down to how matte double wear is.
I would describe it as a semi-matte finish, because it doesn’t make my face look
dry or moistureless but at the same time is the only foundation that keeps my
oily skin at bay. It doesn’t slip or slide off my face and with regard to my
comment about lightweight foundations making me feel uncomfortable, it is
because after a while I start to feel the oils building up. All I want to do is reach for a face wipe! I hate that
feeling, but DW doesn’t do this and that's why I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">always </i>use it when I know I’m going to be out from 9am until late
as it doesn’t let me down. Handy having such faith in a foundation huh?! It
deserves it to be honest because it <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">is </i>good.<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">The only qualm I have about this product is the fact I can’t
wear it everyday. The fact that it is so heavy duty means that it can break me
out if I wear it relentlessly which is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">not
</i>good. Therefore that’s why I use it when I know I have a long day ahead as
that is what I feel it’s good for. With that, I don’t always need full coverage to be honest so it hasn’t become too much of a problem. But another thing is the SPF, which is
obviously all well and good but I definitely can’t wear this on a night out. It doesn’t picture well at all and gives me a white cast over my
face, making me look really washed out and colourless. I’ve heard this is
because of the SPF reacting with the light, so avoid if you plan on getting
snap happy ladies. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;">Overall I think it’s a great foundation, I think it’d take
some getting used to if you haven’t used a high coverage foundation before
(like I had to) but once you find your way with it, it really is worth the
money. I will definitely be repurchasing when I’m all out!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GE-PmsV4bvg/UxEfhB1JiNI/AAAAAAAAAfU/YV17EoA5SBA/s1600/IMG_8046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GE-PmsV4bvg/UxEfhB1JiNI/AAAAAAAAAfU/YV17EoA5SBA/s1600/IMG_8046.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Dark Side is possibly my favourite MAC lipstick thus far. I love it. I picked it up whilst schmoozing the MAC counter on a whim one day and fancied a treat. I couldn't have chosen a better colour, as it's <i>exactly </i>what I've been looking for. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Courier New;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Dark Side is a deep burgundy red with some subtle purple undertones and I think it is a shade many of us can work. It twists the classic red into the grunge and does so with ease. My favourite way to wear this shade is with thick black winged liner on the eyes teamed with a flawless finish on the skin, just add a leather jacket and you're smokin'. Of course not everyone wants to rock that look on the way to the food shop for example, but you can work it pretty much any way you want from edgy grunge to vampy to smart and sophisticated. It's wearable as a statement lipstick or a subtle stain, either way don't be put off by the intensity of the colour because it's a shade that I feel <em>everyone </em>looks good in. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #666666;"></span></span> </div>

<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">As for where this belongs on the MAC lipstick spectrum, it is from the Amplified collection (yet again) and certainly lives up to the expectations of this range. It is extremely pigmented, very creamy and not drying and stays on for <em>ages. </em>In my opinion you seriously can't knock an Amplified lipstick and they are definitely the best in terms of formula. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c6RZILkGK-g/Uw3wUFaWodI/AAAAAAAAAes/poqP17FKREA/s1600/IMG_7959.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c6RZILkGK-g/Uw3wUFaWodI/AAAAAAAAAes/poqP17FKREA/s1600/IMG_7959.JPG" height="640" width="640"></a></div>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I’ve got a bit of a thing for these perfume miniatures at
the moment, I mean we all love having the 100ml sitting on our shelf but when a
girls on a budget you need something to soften the blow and that’s where these
come in. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It all started with my Mum
purchasing <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Daisy Eau so Fresh </i>for me
as a Christmas gift and I then went on to buy <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Flowerbomb </i>in NYC. I knew I loved my little Marc Jacobs handbag
companion so not being able to afford the full size (damn you Sephora), I opted
for the baby counterpart.</span></span><br>
<br>
<br>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Many of us are familiar with Jacobs’ signature and extremely
recognisable scent Daisy. I’ve gone through a few bottles over the years and I still
love it no less. It’s an extremely
wearable scent for both daytime and evening, it’s just <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">that </i>versatile! It has a light, fresh, airy scent that doesn’t feel
overpowering or heavy, you’ll receive many a compliment wearing this! As for
the refill purse edition I have, I am extremely happy with it. The bottle is
pretty much a miniature version of the big 100ml bottles, complete with pink rubber
flower on the lid. I love the fact that this is a spray dispenser bottle as it
makes everything just that little bit easier. For your money you get 20ml
already in the iconic Marc Jacobs bottle and then another 15ml in a glass tube
ready for a refill. The refilling process is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">very </i>easy, just use the funnel provided, unscrew the spray
dispenser and pour away. <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<o:p><span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span></o:p></div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb is one I have been after for so
long and I have finally got my hands on a teeny portion of this beautiful
scent. As the name suggests this is nothing less than a whole load of floral
notes. It has a very girly and <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">very</i>
sweet scent that I think some may find a little too overpowering, however it isn’t
sickly which I can sometimes find with this kind of perfume. As for how I have
taken to my refill kit I would say it’s pretty so-so. It comes with the iconic
multi-faceted bottle, but it’s <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">tiny </i>(7ml)
and is without the spray dispenser, it’s the whole pour and dab kind of thing. I’ve
also had a ‘mare trying to refill it, you get the handy funnel to assist you
with this but it’s just all a bit of a faff. The product just sits inside the funnel
once you’ve poured it and refuses to go down. My thinking is that because this
bottle is so small, placing the funnel inside the lid makes it air tight and
there’s no room for manoeuvre. Instead the perfume ends up seeping out of the
lid and you end up wasting product trying to get into the darn bottle, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">not the best</i>. I can’t knock the perfume
itself, I love it, but I think V&F need to take some tips from Mr Jacobs
concerning the whole travel duo<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> thang</i>.<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fOrkS1n1Rw4/UwkNunTQQRI/AAAAAAAAAeM/8o09c-E0Ek0/s1600/IMG_7886.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fOrkS1n1Rw4/UwkNunTQQRI/AAAAAAAAAeM/8o09c-E0Ek0/s1600/IMG_7886.JPG" height="640" width="640"></span></a><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">Every brand has those stand out products that you <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">just have to have </i>for the sake of the
cult. For NARS it’s<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> </i>their Laguna
bronzer and Orgasm/Super Orgasm blushes; they don’t have a review on every blog
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">ever</i> for nothing. Choosing whether to
leave out such highly talked about products from your blog or to add your
opinion to the masses is a tough decision. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I don’t want to bore people with the same old
story I’ve seen myself hundreds of times. But I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">know</i> these products are good and because of that I want in too. <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">What I’m getting at is that no one needs me to do the whole shabang
on these two products. Instead I’m combining them together and giving you a brief
low down on why <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">I </i>love them and why <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">I </i>use them religiously. </span></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">NARS Laguna Bronzer:<o:p></o:p></span></span></b></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I’ve been using this for around six months now and I’ve been
entirely satisfied the whole time. Looking at the product in the pan, Laguna
appears dark, a tad shimmery and I’ll admit, a little bit daunting. On the skin
however it transfers into a gorgeous golden hue and there isn’t an orange
undertone in sight. It warms up the skin when dusted on in all the right places
and also makes for the perfect contouring companion. It doesn’t look muddy or
dirty, but blends easily and effortlessly, creating that sought after
definition. This is helped by the fact that it is a very pigmented bronzer and
you don’t need that much product to achieve the look you’re after. It’s a pricey
number at £26 but it is one I would seriously consider investing in if you haven’t
already. I use mine every single day and feel I have definitely got my money’s worth,
and I’ve barely made a dent in it! </span></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">NARS Super Orgasm
Blush:<o:p></o:p></span></span></b></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">Nars have numerous cult status blushes, Super Orgasm just
being one of about five. I would describe this as being a very girly, frosted baby
pink with peachy undertones, however if you don’t like glitter then this
probably isn’t for you. Super Orgasm has very large glitter particles and an incorporated
shimmer that are very visible in the pan. On the skin however the glitter
aspect of the product doesn’t transfer as you might expect, most of the
particles come away from the brush as excess or don’t stick onto the face at
all. For some this will be a disappointment but for others a relief, I find it
to work well just as it is, I don’t find it to be too much or too little, it
just epitomises what makeup should be – pink, girly and fun. The lasting power
is about 4-5 hours, not revolutionary by any means but I think it can depend on
how much you apply initially, I tend to try not to be too heavy handed and just
add more throughout the day.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">Anyway I'm back, and I'm back from the big apple which was absolutely
amazing. It's definitely one of my favourite places, especially in the snow. My
last post was a NYC wishlist, which I actually managed to stick to
(roughly...). Unfortunately I was on a bit of a budget as I didn't have a
great deal of time to save up spending money (we booked it pretty last
minute!). Nevertheless I still managed to spend a good few hours in Sephora and
MAC, swatching, testing and oozing over <em>everything</em>, so here's what I
bought...</span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;"></span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SIk9LwNz4DA/UwYuvyGA2DI/AAAAAAAAAds/nMGiyeHjHhw/s1600/mac.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SIk9LwNz4DA/UwYuvyGA2DI/AAAAAAAAAds/nMGiyeHjHhw/s1600/mac.png" height="234" width="640"></a></div>
<br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;"></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Courier New;"></span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>1. MAC Lipsticks</strong></span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I actually only bought two lipsticks whilst I was away, Crème In Your Coffee
and Plumful. These were both on my wishlist and I just had to have them. I
wasn't too bothered about my other choices so I just bought the ones I had been
eyeing up for <em>ages</em>. No regrets, they are both gorgeous and I haven't stopped
wearing them since!</span></span><br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>2. MAC Eyeshadows</strong></span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I bought Cranberry, Naked Lunch, Sketch, Espresso and Rice Paper. The latter
made an appearance because the lovely lady at MAC told me that it's great used
as a highlight paired with Espresso on the brows. They only work out at
around £7 in the US, a bargain in comparison to our UK prices. I only wish I
could have bought more!</span></span><br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>3. MAC Palettes</strong></span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I went a little palette crazy. I already have the 15 insert palette which I
bought a few months ago, but they are so much cheaper stateside that I just had
to buy them all. I purchased the duo for my brow shadows, the quad for when
travelling, the 6 insert blush palette and the 30 insert eyeshadow palette. I
need to sort out what is being used for what, and I'll probably give one away
but for less than £35 for them all, I would be mad not too!<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<o:p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span></o:p><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>4. MAC 208 Brush</strong></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I only have two MAC brushes currently, both 217’s of which I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">love</i> but there are definitely more I want
to add to my collection. I went for this one because I don’t actually have any
brow brushes and felt it was time to invest, especially with all my eyebrow
related purchases! <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<o:p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span></o:p><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>5. Makeup Forever HD Foundation</strong></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">Finally got my hands on this! So unfair that some brands are only available overseas!
At the moment I'm still in the process of working out my opinion on this one,
but so far it's good.<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<o:p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span></o:p><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>6. Hourglass Arch Brow Shaping Pencil</strong></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I literally only bought this because I saw a comment by Viviannadoesmakeup stating
she <em>loved </em>it. I think she's got great judgment and she hasn't let me
down here, it's so easy to use it's quite ridiculous. The shade is perfect for
me and I love its simplicity. <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"> <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>7. Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade<o:p></o:p></strong></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">As you can see I am a little obsessed with the whole brow thing. This
had me a little daunted at first, I've always used a pencil before now, but
with continued practise it becomes less scary and you begin to work out your
knack for painted on brows. I have to give myself a good ten minutes to get
this right however so this only comes out when I have the time!<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"> <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><strong>8. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb<o:p></o:p></strong></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">I really wanted the full size version but it's just so expensive. Instead I
settled for the little baby version which is so cute, it would make a lovely
gift. I think it’s a gorgeous scent and apparently Zara do their own version!
Let me know if you’ve tried it! <o:p></o:p></span></span><br>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">

</span><br>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">So there goes, I’m happy with my purchases and have fallen in <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">love</i> with some of them. More detailed
reviews on my favourites shall be up within the month which I can’t wait to
share. Not sure whether to write a post on what I got up to in New York over
the 5 days, what do you think?<o:p></o:p></span></span><br>

</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cLr8qRDb5Sk/UvJtyiwmLoI/AAAAAAAAAdM/wHa8FrK3Wmc/s640/blogger-image--992776249.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cLr8qRDb5Sk/UvJtyiwmLoI/AAAAAAAAAdM/wHa8FrK3Wmc/s1600/blogger-image--992776249.jpg"></a></div>
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So I go to New York in the morning! Totally excited, so I thought I'd compile a list of NYC treats I'm after. The list isn't excessive, it's just some of the things I know I'll definitely be picking up and so it'd be rude not to share them with you! </span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">1. My first stop is undoubtedly going to be MAC. The Times Square store is hectic but it's worth the hustle and bustle. I've got my eyes on several lipsticks, first being <b>Creme In Your Coffee</b> (which I've wanted for ages) alongside <b>MAC Red</b>, <b>Plumful </b>and <b>Morange</b>. Knowing me I'll probably ditch the list and choose different ones completely but at least I've got something to work with amongst the mayhem!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">2. I also want some eyeshadow refills for my MAC palette (it'll make an appearance on here sooner or later!). So far I'm after <b>Cranberry</b>, <b>Sketch</b>, <b>Espresso </b>and <b>Naked Lunch</b>.</span></div>
<div>
<b><br><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span></b></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">3. One of the benefits of visiting the US is that us Brits get to take advantage of the stateside brands we don't get over here. I'll be looking for the <b>Makeup Forever HD Foundation </b>which I actually can't wait to try <i>and </i>I'll be checking out the <b>Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation</b>, yey!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">4. I've also be lusting after the <b>Anastastia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade </b>which recently hit cultbeauty.com. Another benefit of the US is that their prices tend to be cheaper so I'll be grabbing this for a fraction of our price! </span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">5. Lastly are the<b> MAC palettes</b>. They are <i>ridiculously </i>cheap over there, $10 for both the single palette and the double. And the inserts for these are just a mere $2! MAC UK are definitely ripping us off with the amount they charge! So imma be stocking up on these for myself and all my pals haha! </span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So there we have it, no doubt I'll come home with a whole different array of stuff but having some idea of what I want means I can't go <i>too </i>over budget *ahem*. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br></div>
<div>
<i><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">What else do you think I should check out whilst in New York? Both shopping and sightseeing suggestions welcome!</span></i></div>
<div>
<i><br><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span></i></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-omtyeWLqw2o/UvDDef59JHI/AAAAAAAAAcw/Tgenj8kJzwA/s1600/IMG_7455.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-omtyeWLqw2o/UvDDef59JHI/AAAAAAAAAcw/Tgenj8kJzwA/s1600/IMG_7455.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;">I definitely feel that the Soap & Glory make up range doesn’t get as much praise as it deserves. They have some smash products and I’m about to get all in your face with their Archery Brow Pencil. I’ve been using this for around three months now and I’ve been <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">so </i>happy with it. This pencil only comes in two shades, ‘Brownie Points’ which I shall be reviewing today, and ‘Love is Blonde’ but I wouldn’t let the limited shade range put you off. 'Brownie Points' is a medium brown, but I would say that it’s versatile enough to work with a number of different hair colours and skin tones, especially since my hair is quite dark and I have quite fair skin. That aside, what I find to be the beauty of this product is that it allows for a defined and precise application but at the same time delivers a very natural looking brow. The colour isn’t too brash and it doesn’t allow for a harsh application, no scouse brows here! As for me, I tend to get more use out of the brow pencil, as I like how quickly it can be applied and how long lasting the formula is. Speaking of which, it <em>is</em> very waxy and can be hard to work with at first. I think this is the reason many people opt for the brow tint applicator instead, but if you gradually build it up (without tugging the pencil at your skin!) then it makes for a great long lasting brow. </span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Courier New;"><o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nnPTVPVfPaU/UvDDde2nUzI/AAAAAAAAAcs/5elFPWYhGRk/s1600/IMG_7456.JPG" height="400" width="400" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NK9z32BDnoU/UvDDdeLxRmI/AAAAAAAAAco/48qck0AHm0Y/s1600/IMG_7457.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NK9z32BDnoU/UvDDdeLxRmI/AAAAAAAAAco/48qck0AHm0Y/s1600/IMG_7457.JPG" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">The tint aspect of this product is what I use when I have
more time to perfect my brows, as I think the finish you get from this is
brilliant. It does deliver that brow tint effect, but it doesn’t look
unnatural. You can use it for a fuller brow look or to merely fill in sparse
areas, building up the colour as you wish. This too is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">very</i> long lasting and I’ve got a whole day and night from it before
now! </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">Unfortunately I’m on my very last nub of pencil and my tint
is beginning to dry up so I will definitely be repurchasing. The only downside
there is to this product is that there isn’t <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">that</i> much product for your £10, and I’ve heard that the tint has
dried up in less than two weeks for some people! But as for the product itself,
S&G have impressed me yet again.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></div>

my <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">all time </i>favourite, say hello to
Angora Cardi by Essie. I totally love this colour, totally hate the name
however (found myself becoming a bit of an animal welfare activist with the
whole hoo-hah surrounding angora rabbits and their treatment!). But that aside,
it’s a shade I keep coming back to. I would describe it as a dirty plum
combined with brown undertones. It’s just <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">so
</i>pretty, it’s not ultra girly but not grunge either, I feel it sits nicely in-between.
Just to let you know, this isn’t by any means a new shade; I believe it was
brought out in 2009 in a fall range! But they still have it within their main
collection, yey! <o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">
</span><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">As for Seche Vite, I’d seen Lily Pebbles singing its praises
for some time before I finally took the plunge. For a top coat, £9.00 is
expensive but I’d like to say that it’s worth it. Seche Vite is very heavy duty
shit (excuse my French). The formula is very thick, almost gloopy but spreads
onto the nails perfectly, immediately creating a high shine, glossy coat on
your talons. But here’s the best bit, it sets in <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">seconds</i>. I don’t know how many exactly but it is super fast drying
and <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">I love it</b>. To get the very best
from your manicure I would recommend waiting until your coloured polish is 100%
set before applying because it can affect how well and how fast the top coat
dries. As for the impact on how long your mani lasts, I would say it prevents
chipping for at least upto 5 days (that’s the best I’ve had so far and I usually
get chipping on the first day!). Seche Vite thickens up your
nails and makes them more durable, not to mention the high shine it’s got
going on. I've even had people question whether I'm wearing gels! Don't however expect this top coat to work the same wonders as gel overlays for example - because it is still only a top coat and isn't going to realistically prevent any chipping whatsoever! The only con I can say about this is that because it is so heavy
duty, once your mani is on its way out, the polish begins to peel at the edges
(which is disappointing as the product claims this <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">won’t </i>happen). You can be <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">very
</i>tempted to peel the whole thing off – but don’t! It leaves your nails weak and
flaky underneath, so go get that polish remover!</span> </span></span><br />

mavens and I had been lusting after it for <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">ages.
</i>It’s a gorgeous plum shade which leans towards being deep fuchsia pink
(more so in different shades of light!) I thought Rebel was going to be more on
the deep purple side and I was kinda disappointed when it wasn’t – I wouldn't say that the colour
of the bullet is the same as the colour that transfers. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As for how <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">good
</i>this lippy is and how long it lasts – I would say it’s pretty so-so. Rebel
is from the Satin range therefore the formula for these lipsticks is meant to
be semi-matte, which I would agree with. I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">hate
</i>matte formulas as my lips are a bugger for drying out, but I don’t
find this to be too bad. One thing I was fairly surprised by was its unimpressive lasting
power. The boldness of the colour on first application seems to fade fairly
quickly despite being what I would consider to be a heavily pigmented lipstick. Even though I haven't sung it's praises all too well, I do think this is a lovely shade but I’m not sure I would repurchase it. It’s
one that tends to get cast aside but it <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">does
</i>create a gorgeous vampy look, a subtle smoky eye and Rebel go hand in hand.

the end of December and within January. I’m not supposed to be spending AT ALL
as I’m going to New York at the beginning of Feb (eee!) but online shopping is
inevitable once the student loan has dropped. So here goes… </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br />
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_cpR5v5Ptqc/UuERtNh1UwI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/BngPV2CFaWU/s1600/IMG_7184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_cpR5v5Ptqc/UuERtNh1UwI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/BngPV2CFaWU/s1600/IMG_7184.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I bought this dress on a whim whilst out shopping with my
best friends. They successfully convinced me to a night out (despite having uni
work) so I thought I’d treat myself to some new glad rags. I’ve only worn it
once and it was really comfortable, however the only thing I don’t like about
it is that because it’s lacking shape, on some of the pictures from the night I
feel like I look like a huge tent *unimpressed face*. However I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">will</i> wear it again, I will just be
cautious at which angle I’m having my picture took, pah.</span><br />

I LOVE this, it’s from Zara and it’s
perfect. I have been looking for a new coat for my trip to NYC because it’s
going to be <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">freezing</i>. I already have
a boyfriend style coat/jacket from H&M but it’s not nearly thick enough for
what I need it for. I think coats are quite difficult to find, I’m so picky,
but I <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">always</i> fall in love with my
final decision. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

as as it’s not a jacket, not a cardigan and not a coat. Anyway, whatever it is,
it’s <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">cosy</i>. It has shearling lining in
the hood and around the cuffs and edges. I did hope that it would be fully
shearling lined but to be honest it doesn’t need it, it keeps you warm enough.
I got this in the ‘special prices’ section of the Zara website for £19.99! Such
a good price, but unfortunately they’ve sold out now.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

just a cable knit jumper that is slightly cropped at the bottom and longer at
the back. Basically bought it to be able to layer up and keep me snug.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

mo. What I like about this is how it can be made to look really casual, but
then can be made to look that bit smarter for a different occasion. It was £23
(I think) I can’t seem to find it on the website but I didn’t buy it all that
long ago, so I reckon it’d still be knocking about some larger stores. I tend
to try and stay away from Topshop if I can as I think their prices are somewhat
ridiculous. But I really did like this and I justified it with being able to
use my student discount, every cloud ey. </span></span></div>

This image doesn’t
really do them justice, but they are fabulous. They were £24.99 from New Look
which I think is very reasonable, and I’ve not had them off ever since I bought
them. They’re comfy, easy to clean and I love their burgundy colour. As you can
see I have scuffed the heels a little, but blame drunken nights out for those
(oops). I think I’ll be very sad once these have had their day.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So this is my first Topshop Nail Varnish! I got this as a Christmas
present and it’s safe to say I love it. I still think black is a great shade on
nails but it can be a little boring, so I love how Gypsy Night puts a twist on
that and livens it up a little. The shade is predominately black but has a
subtle yet noticeable greeny/gold iridescent pigment alongside it. In the light
it looks beautiful, especially because it <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">also
</i>has multidimensional glitter that really gives it that ‘out of space’ feel.
It’s such a pretty shade and is a little different to your bog standard
colours. The lasting power is so-so, I tried it without a top coat and it
chipped within a day, but <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">with </i>a top
coat you can get near enough a week from it. The cons of this product however
are that is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">does </i>need 2-3 coats, the
formula is very sheer so you definitely need to build it up. I would also say
that it takes a little longer than average to dry (the worst bit)! Removal is a
bit of a bugger too, the glitter doesn’t seem to want to budge so elbow grease
is needed! Aside from that though it is a lovely shade and for £5 it isn’t too
bad at all! Unfortunately this is no longer available on the website but I’m
sure they’ll be some stragglers at your local Topshop if you look hard enough!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">My first review of 2014! I actually picked up Love Thing
at the latter end of 2013 and have been in love with it ever since. It’s a
beautiful plum shade, infused with what I would describe as a dainty pink tone.
It’s from the MAC Mineralize blush collection, of which I haven’t had anything
before so I was very pleased to get my hands on it! It’s not a new shade by any
means, but its shimmery plummy loveliness caught my eye and I just <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">had </i>to have it. I’ve been using it for
near two months now and it <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">still </i>doesn’t
look like it’s ever been touched! I thought it would lose its lovely marbled
effect once I began using it but nope, it still looks as heavenly as ever.
Another bonus is that it is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">so </i>pigmented;
so much so that you have to be cautious about applying too much! It’s one of my
firm favourites and it will definitely be in my makeup bag until the first hint
of summer!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><span style="color: #444444;">It’s a new year and so for many of us, we conjure up a whole
load of new goals and resolutions to aim for. 2013 was a great year for me, I
did some wonderful things – I must have been having fun as it flew by! But despite
that for much of the year I didn’t feel motivated or driven to <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">achieve</i> much. I’ll be the first to admit
that I am lazy, I can easily spend the day doing nothing whatsoever but at the
same time I hate doing so, it only adds to how demotivated I feel! So in 2014 my
aims are to stop spending so much time on my ass and start being proactive and
through sheer willpower I will hopefully begin to feel some sort of drive to
achieve once I start seeing results. So here are my plans:<o:p></o:p></span></span><br />

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I have dreamt of doing a makeup course for ages and it still
is something I so desperately want to do <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">but
</i>to get in with an accredited school the fees are just somewhat out of my
reach. Some start from around £2000 and can range up to an incredible £8000.
There is just no way that at this moment in time (and probably at any at other
moment in time) I’ll be able to afford what they’re asking, it’s disheartening
but I guess it’s just the way it is. Not to mention the fact that the majority of schools are
based in London and getting there/staying there while I do a course isn’t
really a viable option. Aaaanyway enough sulking….to console myself a little at
the irritating reality, I found the Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy in Manchester on
the web and after schmoozing through their multiple courses I found the one day
beauty basics course. I was literally over the moon that I’d found something
that was both affordable and where I knew I was going to get advice and tips
from an expert. I also couldn't believe it was in Manchester! London usually gets all the good stuff so having this up here in the North is actually refreshing! So with this in mind I booked on for the 26<span style="font-size: x-small;">h</span> of September at a price
of £75.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So more about CLMA, it is owned and run by the
very talented MUA Cassie Lomas. She’s worked with many a celebrity and has
recently featured on the ITV daytime show “Star Treatment” which ran in August.
She opened up her own academy in her home town of Manchester back in 2011 and
it has flourished ever since! It is located in the very quirky Northern Quarter
and the studio itself is beautiful. It has a very underground basement feel to
it but Cassie has dressed it in a way that allows for space and light to flow
with big lights and white walls. The minimalism of the studio is accessorised
with copy after copy of Vogue and Elle sat along a naked brick wall, there
for when the budding makeup artist needs a fresh bout of creativity. The MUA
stations are also very well thought out, there are around twelve stations with
dressing room type mirrors sat on large wooden dressers with heavy black
chairs, it really is where you would want to be when learning the tricks of the
trade.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">When I spent the day there I was greeted by Helen, who I
later learnt was actually Cassie’s mum. She works behind the scenes, making
sure the cogs keep turning and has such a big and lovely personality that she is
definitely hard to forget! She immediately made me and the other girls feel at
ease by offering us tea and scones which I was more than happy to indulge in!
We then met Sophie and Collette, Collette was going to be our tutor for the day
and she was so lovely. She was incredibly easy to talk to and made us laugh as
she went through demonstrations of matching the correct foundations to skin
tones and telling us basic steps of skin care. I’m aware of many of the basic areas
Collette talked about (as I do spend half my life on youtube and on beauty blogs!)
but I learnt something knew in the area of concealing. She showed us how to use
different coloured concealers from greens to reds and explained what they were
for and how they colour corrected. I had never properly looked into how colours
worked on the skin and it is definitely crucial in understanding the art of
makeup so having Collette tell us this was really interesting. Alongside this
we looked at contouring, highlighting, bronzing and blush. Contouring and highlighting is something I'm always trying to perfect so having someone there to demonstrate the proper technique was
something I was thankful for! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">The CLMA also has a whole range of different products
to choose from and play with so I was able to mess about with brands I hadn’t
used or come across before. I used MAC Face & Body for the first time,
after wanting to try it for so long! Another product I used was the Daniel
Sandler Watercolour blushes, I haven’t ever tried anything from the Daniel Sandler
range and these watercolours were incredible, keep meaning to order myself some!
Aside from being able to use the academy makeup we also took in our own makeup
bags and brushes so that we could get advice on the best way to use our own
products. It was great to see what products the other girls used too, I love
hearing what people like and dislike and what they would recommend so I really
enjoyed this aspect of meeting everyone. It was a really laid back and fun day
and nothing was too serious, we all had a laugh, especially with one girl who
had a whole bag of MAC products and brushes that she’d never even touched!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I would really recommend this course if you are completely
new to makeup or don’t have much confidence in its application. It is a <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">basic beauty</i> day and it concentrates on
the personal application of makeup and how to apply basic products. I am
knowledgeable about much of what Collette talked about simply because I am
makeup obsessed and spend hours reading reviews, blogs and watching tutorials
therefore I think I would benefit from something more advanced. However it is<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> perfect</i> if you have never properly
indulged in makeup before and it can also make for a great present for a fellow
female who may love a day of learning the basics. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I’m really glad I got to go and experience the CLMA
even if it was just for one day, maybe at some point I’ll be able to call
myself a proper CLMA student but for now a girl can only dream!</span></div>

sleeplesswithsienna, I haven’t done one of these before but there’s nothing I
like more than a change in season! We had a brilliant summer and autumn has

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>1.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Favourite thing
about it?</strong><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I do feel like Autumn is a bit
of a limbo season, it’s too cold for summer yet not cold enough for winter, so
the best thing about it for me is the whole build up to Christmas. Plus my mum
always changes the colour scheme of accessories in the living room (taking away
the blues and greens of the summer and changing them for cranberry and burgundy
shades) it always feels super cosy in our house throughout this time of year
and I love it. Plus Halloween and Bonfire night are always good! <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>2.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Favourite
drink?</strong><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Hot vimto obviously, such a good
drink for cold days and evenings! Had my first one of the season the other day!
I am partial to a hot chocolate with cream on top too.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>3.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Favourite
scent/candle?</strong> Cinnamon scented candles. My absolute favourite for this time of
year! We have them on sale at work at the moment so I get to smell them all day
long!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

which is a very deep plum shade.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"><strong>5.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Go to moisturiser?</strong>
I have a few, Nip and Fab’s dry leg fix, for the pins, Body Shop’s body butter
in Strawberry for all over and I’m not big on moisturising my face as they tend
to break me out and just make everything a whole lot worse. I’m still on the
hunt for the perfect contender! <o:p></o:p></span></div>

the eyes?</strong><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Definitely browns and bronze
tones, plus a bit of gold shimmer as we near December, nothing like a gold
infused smokey eye! I’ve also had my eye on plum and cranberry shades as I
already LOVE my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate but Benefit also do Bad
Gal Lash in shade called Plum which I’m totally intrigued by. Not sure quite
how I’d work it but it’d be interesting! <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">So everyone’s been ranting and raving over the Topshop
makeup collection ever since its release, which was something like two/three
years ago now. I haven’t delved into it too much, but they have managed to make
my face all aglow with their selection of highlighters. The first one I laid my
mitts on was the Sunbeam highlighter, a versatile product that can be used on
both the face and body. What I will say about this product is that a little
does go a long way, you get 6.5g for your money and it comes in a practical
flip top compact. I do love highlighter but I certainly don’t wear it every
day, and even for those that do it will take a <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">helluva</i> long time to touch pan on this £10 number. Now down to the
actual product, the shade holds a yellowy golden hue, that sounds pretty awful
but it’s not, I’d even liken it to a burnt yellow, however it’s dressed up,
this shade is <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">pretty. </i>Albeit this
shade is probs more summer appropriate but hey, that never stopped anyone. If
you’re lucky enough to still be donning a sunkissed glow then this will only
accentuate that tan, if not however, I think bronzer in all the right places
will do the trick.</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Following in its footsteps, comes the Glow highlighter in
Polished. I love that Topshop have offered two completely different
highlighting products, I don’t feel like they are too similar to warrant having
them both anyway! Glow comes in a cute screw lid frosted pot, with the all too
familiar Topshop detailing on the lid, the product however is what it’s really
about. It has a super creamy, mousse type consistency which is really light to
apply and is also really light to wear. It’s got that barely there feel to it
as well as being high on the pigmentation front. As for the shade, it is what I
can only describe as pearlescent off white with champagne tones, it’s shimmery
and lovely and although I was dubious about this looking too “frosted” on the
skin it does create the perfect “glow”. </span></div>
